I started my Phd in the Behavioral Security and Privacy (BeSec) research group lead by Prof. Dr. Matthew Smith in January 2021. For some time before that, I have been intrigued by the challenges of addressing both usability and security & privacy and investigating human behavior in this scope. As such I am interested in topics at the intersection of usability, privacy, security and human (information) behavior, and especially investigating how different empirical methods can be applied in this domain.

Current Projects

  • Facilitating power analysis (sample size calculations) for researchers in usable security and privacy
  • Investigating researchers’ use of effect sizes
  • Examining software developers’ folk models of software security
